SENIOR SYSTEM ADMINISTRTOR |

Focus Enhancements, Inc. is looking for a high level Linux and Windows systems administrator with at least 5-10 years experience in an EDA engineering environment. Responsible for supporting mission critical, 24x7x365 engineering environment consisting of RedHat Linux and Windows servers. Responsibilities include providing daily user, system, and telecom support, installation and setup/configuration of new hardware/software and EDA tools, working with local vendors on hardware and software procurement. |

The ideal candidate will come from a strong Linux and Window systems administration background with experience working in a multi-project EDA engineering environment. Will be responsible for managing daily operations, NAS storage, backup and disaster recovery, a large Linux compute farm, and corporate network infrastructure (Windows Exchange 2003 based). The candidate will be responsible for managing projects related to Linux server capacity planning, new Linux infrastructure design/build-out/deployments, improving Linux server performance and availability, implementing new server monitoring and tuning technologies and complex troubleshooting and problem resolution of major server issues. In addition, the system administrator will be responsible for assisting in day to day system administration duties on an as needed and on-call basis. |

We have an immediate opening in our Hillsboro, Oregon office for a full-time Senior DSP Engineer. |

This candidate will be responsible for digital hardware development and documentation of DSP based ASICs to advance our Ultra-Wide-Band products to market. Work includes specification, design implementation in Verilog, modification to existing designs, creation of new designs, as well as evaluation of designs at both module and system levels to meet system performance requirements. The candidate needs to come up to speed on the existing designs, and help move these designs forward under minimal supervision as needed to meet design and architectural objectives. |
